Hall will take over the titular role from October 16 to January 4 at the Belasco Theatre, opposite Tony-winner Lena Hall. Check out the stunning pictures below:
This isn’t Hall’s first rodeo. He made his Broadway debut in 1999 as the emcee in Cabaret and also played Billy Flynn in 2002 for Chicago. Most recently, Hall started in Will Eno’s 2014 Broadway production of the play The Realistic Jones. However, it’s the actor’s first musical theater role in over a decade.
Hedwig and the Angry Inch is based on a book penned by John Cameron Mitchell. The story centers around an East German transgender rocker and his quest for finding true love and fulfillment in America. Neil Patrick Harris followed by Andrew Rannells, who ended his performance last week, previously played the lead character.
